Nestled in the heart of Princes Town, Trinidad, Air Link Communications Ltd. (ALC) began as a humble venture by a young visionary, Keenan Singh. In 2014, as a teenager, with just a single dish perched on his parents’ rooftop, Singh embarked on a journey that would transform the digital landscape of rural south Trinidad. What started with a handful of curious customers has now blossomed into a thriving enterprise, serving thousands of households with top-notch Digital Cable TV and Internet services. In 2009, ALC made a strategic leap, boldly venturing into the Data Center arena with a suite of offerings under our Commercial Services banner, aimed at driving the Digital Transformation of businesses across the region and beyond.

At the core of ALC’s operations lies our ANSI/TIA-942-B-2017 Rated-3 certified Data Center, affectionately known as ‘Air Link DC1’. This cutting-edge facility is the powerhouse behind our array of services which include Colocation, Dedicated Internet Access, Virtual Private Servers, Web and Dedicated Server Hosting, Business Continuity, and, notably, Managed Video. Our Commercial Services have garnered a diverse clientele, from local businesses to international giants. Among our offerings, Managed Video stands out as a game-changer, making TV channel access, and other video content delivery seamless and hassle-free for our clients. Our Managed Video service encompasses five key subservices:
1. TV CHANNEL AND RADIO STREAM DELIVERY TO OTHER DIGITAL CABLE TV PROVIDERS
Why invest in costly infrastructure when ALC has you covered? We acquire international TV channels and radio streams through our extensive, on-site satellite array and IP streams via the internet. These channels are then transcoded, ingested into our Content Delivery Network (CDN), and integrated into our Digital Cable TV lineup. Additionally, we offer these streams to other Digital Cable TV Providers, allowing them to expand their offerings without the headache of infrastructure investment and other necessary logistics.
2. STUDIO CONTENT DELIVERY FOR REDISTRIBUTION
For over two decades, ALC has been the trusted partner for local studios in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), encoding, multiplexing, and transporting raw content to our headend. Today, we support sixteen T&T-based studios, ensuring their content reaches a broader audience through our CDN, not only for our viewers but also for other Digital Cable TV Providers.
3. TV CHANNEL CREATION AND CONTENT DELIVERY
Aspiring content creators can rejoice with our ‘TV-station-in-a-Box’ service, you can launch your own IP-based TV channel with ease. This service provides the necessary hardware and resources, allowing you to upload, schedule, and deliver your content to cable TV audiences. It’s a cost-effective and maintenance-free solution to channel creation, opening up new revenue streams for content creators through advertising.
4. TV CHANNEL AND RADIO STREAM DELIVERY TO HOTELS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS
In collaboration with system integrators, ALC brings premium TV channel streams to the hospitality industry, enhancing guest experiences. System integrators seamlessly integrate our channel streams into Property Management Systems (PMS), offering hotels a streamlined service management solution while guests receive an exceptional viewing experience. We also cater to international guests with a selection of foreign language channels. The choice of channel lineup is up to the hotel, or institution, and can be modified at any time.
5. LIVE EVENT DELIVERY
From the FIFA World Cup to the CPL Cricket Tournament, ALC has been the go-to provider for live event streaming for over a decade. We acquire event streams and deliver them to studios, ensuring you can broadcast premier events seamlessly, provided you have the relevant broadcasting rights to do so.
